Nominations for election to the SAVH 73rd Executive Committee (Exco) closed at 12:00 pm on 17 August 2026. The list of nominees are:

As the number of nominees is less than the number of vacancies, there will be no election in the 73rd AGM.

Extracted from SAVH’s Constitution Article 6.1:

6.1 The Management of the Association shall be vested in an Executive Committee (“the Executive Committee”), comprising not more than 13 – 7 visually handicapped and 6 non-visually handicapped – members of the Association. The Executive Committee shall have such number of visually handicapped members as will give them a simiple majority on the Executive Committee. No member can be appointed an Executive Committee member if he/she is related to an incumbent Executive Committee member or to any of the Association’s staff. In addition, the Executive Committee may co-opt up to 6 members (of whom 3 have to be visually handicapped members) to serve in the Executive Committee for their specific expertise up to the Annual General Meeting. These 6 members who are co-opted for their specific expertise shall not be eligible to vote on the Executive Committee.
