Introduction
The White Cane Club is a branch of the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) and was established in 1966. It is run by a team of visually handicapped and sighted volunteers. The Club caters to the social, recreational and welfare needs of its visually impaired members ranging from teenagers to the elderly.
Objectives
The key objectives of the White Cane Club are:
To complement the Association in providing for the educational, social and recreational needs of visually handicapped members | |
To contribute constructive recommendations to the Association for the enhancement of welfare of visually handicapped members | |
To assist the Association in identifying and nurturing potential leaders for the Club and the Association |
Activities

- Hiking and walk
- Informal gathering/Dialogue sessions
- Picnics and outings
- Tandem cycling
- Talks
- Parties
- Overseas trips
