ObstaX Mini – long-term free trial
Dear SAVH Clients,
ObstaX, a local assistive technology startup, is developing ObstaX Mini, a wearable device designed to help people who are blind or have low vision to better understand their surroundings through camera-based AI descriptions and voice feedback.
ObstaX is inviting a small group of SAVH clients to participate in a long-term free trial to help them to refine the device ahead of their upcoming soft launch.
About the Trial:
Trial duration: 1–2 months
Start date: From 7 February 2026
Number of participants: 3 to 5
Cost: Free (device provided for free during trial period, and will receive an early access discount)
Participant will meet with the ObstaX team biweekly (in-person or online).
Participants will use the device in their daily life and share feedback on its usefulness, comfort, and limitations.
Who Can Sign Up?
Participants should:
1. Be blind or have low vision
2. Be able to communicate feedback verbally or via messaging in English
3. Be willing to attend biweekly check-ins with the ObstaX team
