Demise of Mr Tan Guan Heng

The 69th EXCO is sad to share the news of the demise of our Past President Mr Tan Guan Heng BBM ( 1975-1980, 2005-2012) on 10th Jan 2023.

The EXCO and Management will be paying our last respect to President Tan Guan Heng BBM on Thursday, 12th Jan at 7pm at the Singapore Casket.

New Membership Application

Renewal of Membership

  1. A Member or Junior Member whose subscription is in arrears for 2 calendar years shall automatically cease to be a Member or Junior Member as the case may be, after this period but may be reinstated upon payment of any arrears then due.

 

  1. All subscription except in the case of Life Member shall be payable in advance on 1st January in each year, but the first subscription of a Member or Junior Member joining on or after 1st October in any year shall cover the period from the date of payment until 31st December of the year following.

Conversion of ordinary Member to Life Member

  1. To Change membership status, for instance, to convert from ordinary to life membership or to reinstate membership, member can complete the Change In Membership Status Form and email it to membership@savh.org.sg

Training Programmes @ SAVH

1) Training Programme: Tele-Care Agent Training (Call Centre Based)

Programme Objectives:

Empowering individuals to realise their potential, to be able to work in a call centre workplace, through acquiring technical knowledge, professional skills (including Soft Skills) to perform as a professional tele-care agent.  In the course of the training, the individual will learn to be a competent Tele-Care Agent (with the aid of Assistive Device/Technology), able to carry out Tele-Care assignments and tasks as required by their employers. (This includes customer service management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills)

 

2) Training Programme: Personal PowerUp Programme (PPP)

Program Description:

Personal PowerUp Programme is a personal development training programme.  The training aims to help participants come out of their comfort zones, explore their innermost desires and fulfil their potential in achieving their life goals.

Learning Outcome

At the end of the course, participants will be more self-aware (able to draw up one’s own ‘dashboard of life’), able to understand and accept one’s strengths and weaknesses and be able to confront challenges either as opportunities or threats, and be able to define an acceptable Goal one set for oneself and be able to outline the strategies needed to achieve the set goal.

 

3) Training Programme: Vision Rehabilitation: Orientation & Mobility Training

4) Training Programme: Basic Computer Literacy for Screen Reader Users

More details will be provided at a later date.

 

5) Training Programme: Serving Coffee and Juice – Café Training Programme for the Visually Handicapped
